When it comes to PHP my choice is Geany. Its a simple lighteight, small and zero-bloat IDE.
Geany 0.14 has PHP autocomplete, but I recommend 0.16, if the latest ver is not in repos, get it from getdeb.net

I like Geany and do use it for quick edits but you have to go a long way to beat Komodo Edit. However it won't be in the repositories. You can get it from ActiveState Home.
Warning: It's no lightweight

My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.

Yeah, I used Komodo too and liked it.
It's not lightweight? How you define lightweight?
Well, am not here to start a flame-war but surely geany has no fat dependencies, opens in an instant and does have only those features which a person needs.
It's small in size and doesn't gulp down precious RAM. Then how can you say it's not lightweight? If Geany is heavy, then I can say Komodo is even bloated. Isn't it? In comparative sense.

I meant Komodo is no lightweight. Geany is positively skinny!
