    ld error

i am trying to compile a linux 0.01 kernel remake i got from
    http://ranger.uta.edu/~dliu/courses/....01-rm-3.5.tgz
but when i make it it gives me an error that says that it cannot find the ld option --hash-style
i think that the error comes from when it compiles tools/build.c but i cannot find why
does anybody know how to fix this problem

It's a holiday weekend in the USA (Memorial Day), and I think other countries as well, so a lot of people are traveling, or just taking a holiday.
