    Web Scripting Languages?


    Hiya,

    Just Curious to find out what scripting languages people know.

    Vote for the one you use the most!

    Obviously, HTML is a formatting language rather than a backend scripting languge, so not included here!

    just thought I would suggest adding javascript? it is a scripting lanuage after all... even if it is client side.

    and also, java aint a web scripting language.... sorry fella

    I perceived java to be a language that executes both client and server side? but i did not mean javascript.

    I think i may have got myself confused

    Oh well.

    Who voted PHP btw?

    Wasn't me since I don't know how to due the scripting web apps. Only some cmd line java and straight c. And as someone put it the formating language of HTML

    I love php to bits, I think it's great

    ahem... well.... It quite usefull I mean

    better than ASP thats for sure... ASP isn't even good enough to be its own language, it has to be writen in a different language! :P

    PHP!!!

    I use php!!! It works great with databases and to add any of the additional functionality to it was a snap. Perl is cool but more complex and that was discouraging! I am slowly working with javascript.
