Autotools guide for a server application

Hello guys,

I'm developping a server application for GNU/Linux platforms... but as I'm a little newbie using the autools, I'd like to know what I can do to reach that the autotools install command, i.e., make install, realizes the system settings & adjustments (so, in /etc/services, /etc/rc.X/...).

(I have a little experience in writing configure.ac and Makefile.am files)

Maybe, I just post a very broad question, but any information about it will be wellcome.

Hello guys,

In this question, I'm somewhat lost... I wonder if it's possible to attach a Bash Script who make all these little adjustments. Since I think that the idea is to run it after the sources compiled, when executed "make install", Makefile.am would be changed...

Could you help me....?
