    serial port is getting hang

    hello,
    I dot know why my serial port(minicom) is getting hang after some time. again i have to close the terminal and i have to open an new minicom to use my serial port. I dont know why it is getting hang. Please can anuone tell me why it is happening?

    You aren't providing enough information to help you much. Are you using hardware flow control, or software flow control (X-ON/X-OFF, etc)? What are you doing when it "hangs"?

    sorry. after my serial port terminal is hanged i will close the terminal and i will try it again. by that time i am getting error as
    Code:
    Device /dev/ttyUSB0 is locked.
    it will work fine after i plug out my serial port from usb port and insert it. i dont much about the things which you are asking

    Sorry, I cannot continue this thread until the middle of next week. I am at a family wedding up in the mountains where there is basically no internet access except from the library where I am right now. Hopefully someone else will be able to help get you sorted out before my return to civilization.
