smart copy from flash memory

hi every one!
my graduation project is about to make a new algorithm for copying from flash to HD using multi-agent system .
by make the copy process pass by aprogram to choose which is the best way to copy from flash according to it's contents that will speed up the copying process.
i'll add it to linux kernel module or overwrite it .
why flash ?cuz the copy is already slow,so there is big chance to make it speeder
i know c++ and i intend to write it in it .
my questions are
what do u think ?
is it enough for it 2 months from work, i dont know how to deal with linux kernel module but i read about it?
are there some good resources for it ?

what is the algorithm followed in the copy process from the flash to the hard disk?
is it vary from linux distribution to another ?
