[SOLVED] vim editor always show row col

    Hello,

    Vim users,

How can I get the information line which shows the current row and column always displayed? Not talking about status line, which is white text in black background (ugly). But the one like in the screenshot, when clicking CTRL+G.

This is the last vim - vim 7.2

P.S I had that always displayed in my old vim.

This is determined with the "laststatus" option. You can run ":help laststatus" for all of the information, but the short answer to your question is to use ":set laststatus=2".

Ah, true. I thought you were asking for the entire Ctrl-G line.

Anyway, glad you found that option!
