    Help with USB

    Hi

I new to writing device drivers and am trying to develop some user space applications for a wifi usb adapter. My idea is basically capture all the data packet that are being exchanged from the wifi-usb connected machine to the access point or something like that.

Can anyone help me how to go about it?...even it would be nice if you can give me some suggestions for simple applications...

Well, first of all you must find hardware which is both reasonably documented and supported by a good open-source driver.
As far as I know, Atheros is first choice at the time being.
    Linux Wireless
Debian GNU/Linux -- You know you want it.
