    Hi 2 all,
    I am a programmer, during the weekend i like to spend time on R&D work,
    so i like to develop an anti-virus software application.
    I don't know where i have to start and how to refer, so need some help

    Well, look for a free software AV and look how they did it.
    Debian GNU/Linux -- You know you want it.

    If you are a programmer, take a look at the source code of some of those apps already available as suggested above. Otherwise, you'll likely need to develop your programming skills before taking it on such a project. If you want someone to do the coding for you, they might expect a fee for their services.
