    Help with a script

Hi there I have been trying to answer this question but am having difficulty finding the right commands. If anyone can give tips or hints it would be gratefully appreciated.

" Write a script that provides a file, "MyFiles", that contains a list of all teh files in the current directory and displays on the screen the number of files present in teh current directory. "

    Thanks

You are not supposed to ask us to do your homework for you, especially when it's such a trivial matter as this.
    [hint]pipe ls
    -lakerdonald

    A few pointers.

You basically need two commands, ls and wc.

Read the man-pages and I'm sure you can figure it out.

Perahsp you can even do it with one commmand.
