Toolkits to do automated GUI testing in Linux?

    Hi,

I am involved in a project where some regression tests are to be automated. Could you please tell me what are the testing tools that are available for doing automated GUI testing in Linux?

    Thank in advance,

    Raj

Well, there used to be Mercury Interactive's XRunner test suite, but I think they were bought by HP a couple of years ago and while I find their LoadRunner on the HP site, I don't find XRunner. A Google search didn't find anything of use either, so I'm not sure, although it was a really good tool for testing X-Windows applications. Sort of an X version (and predicessor) of SQA-Robot.

Well, after some more searching, I find out that HP bought Mercury Interactive in 2006. There is no mention what they did XRunner. It appears to have disappeared from sight, which is sad because it was a really effective tool. My team used it for at least 10 years to great effect.
