VIM for Writers. Scrivener replacement
Hi:
I want to use vim for writing novels. I have tried things like Scrivener on the mac and they are good but I always miss editing with vim.
The thing is that i dont know vim well enough to duplicate the functionality you find in Scrivener. I need your help.
Functionality I need:
1. Full screen mode.
This sounds easy but the text has to be centered in the middle of the screen too. It has to feel like a page in the middle of the monitor. Not a cursor on the far left.
2. Sidebar/Binder.
If you take a look at scrivener there is a binder on the left side. There you can organize files, move them up or down.
I was wondering what to use for this. Nerdtree reads files but i need to move them up and down on the list. Create subfolders that i can collapse and expand etc.
3. Combine files on the fly.
I want to be able to select several files and read them as if they were one. I dont want to create another file when i do this.
In scrivener you highlight several and they appear as one.
4. Notes
I would like to write notes alongside my texts so they are there when i am writing something. They have to be outside the main body but linked to the text so i see them when i am writing.
That would be it.
Thanks in advance.
