    Need malloc implementation. Urgent

Hello all, does anyone know where could I find any implementation of malloc c++ function in any of the following distros: slackware, ubuntu or opensuse? By implementation I mean, the actual way in which malloc manages the heap memory, the datastructure it uses.. I'm reaching the deadline of this school project, and can't find a way around malloc's heap management. Please HELP!
