    RSYNC - multiple drives one after another ...

    hello,

    I could you use some help from the experts.
    I have few drives that I need to backup daily ..

    I'm using the following command added multiple times to CronTab for each drive.

    rsync -e ssh -avzn --delete-after user-liveserver:/home/httpd /home

    Is there a way to make a script wait for one RSYNC process/backup to finish ?
    And if its done it will process another drive backup ...

    Like setting up an queue ?

    Help is highly appreciated.
    thx

    Are you doing this in bash?

    Putting a semi colon at the end of a line tells bash to execute that command before proceding to the next.

    So you could have
    Code:
    rsync -e ssh -avzn --delete-after user-liveserver:/home/httpd /home ;
    rsync -e ssh -avzn --delete-after user-liveserver:/home/httpd /tmp ;
