    How to get sector numbers of a file


    Hi,

    We are developing Android application (Android UI and C application through JNI) and File system is ext4.

    Is there any Android API or Linux system call to find out sector numbers allocated for a file.

    Please share your ideas.

    hi,

    i'm not sure if it works for ext4, but this technique uses debugfs. it works for files on my ext3 filesystems.
