    css3 animation vs Canvas animation

    Hi everyone!!

I am planning to develop a web game using CSS3 animations and transitions. However, I have read HTML5 animations using Canvas and JavaScript could be a better idea.

I just want to know your opinions about this. What would you recommend me??

    Thank you very much!

If you use text you should use css3 but if no text elements you can go with canvas animations

If you need a funny slide you should just use CSS as it will be easier. In some cases canvas renderings will be smoother but not all. One plus of the canvas is that you can animate things to a seemingly larger size (while keeping the canvas the same size) without having to cause the DOM to re-layout.

Canvas you can go with 3D and Web-GL would make your app more gaphical. CSS3D transforms has a good use but has limitations.

For web apps and games in 3D and ragarding performance my suggestion is go with canvas
For simple animations and websites better have css3
