Difference between Flexible Block Groups and Meta Block Groups

    Hello Everyone,

I am developing application to restore file from disk image having ext4 file system.

I went through the structure of Ext4 file system in detail.

I want to know what is the exact difference between Flexible block group and Meta block groups.

Its seems same to me by reading ext4 documentation.

Kindly help me to clear my confusion on same.

    Thanks in advance

A flex bg allows several blocks to be tied together so the metadata is in one location allowing faster loading and contiguous storage of larger files. Meta bgs divides the file system into block groups allowing for file systems larger then 256 TB.
