    you cannot confuse html and bash - what are you trying to achieve? generate a webpage? for that i guess php would be better suited.
    if you are really just doing this at your home computer, there's tools that help you generate html code. you might want to start with html-xml-utils, or python-beautifulsoup.

    you really have to explain what you are trying to achieve.
