    I have been searching for the same thing around. Then I found this dicussion thread. Then in Bruce Eckel site, I found another url with plenty of books for learning C++.     use Qt

    try to use QT as an IDE and buy
    ROBERT LAFORE book for C++ wjhich is a good one
