    snprintf() help

    Hi,

    For what purpose is the snprintf() function in C used? What is its correct syntax for usage?

    I came across this function in a C program developed in Linux..........I could not find any help for this in Linux......Can anyone suggest how to lookup such functions in Linux as we normally do in Turbo C....

    Btw, am using RH9

    Pls send ur suggestions, Thanks

    Did you try man snprintf? I had the page on SuSE 9.2, but in case you didn't have it on RedHat, http://www.die.net/doc/linux/man/man3/snprintf.3.html

    It's part of the standard C library so there aren't going to be any differences between distributions or even other Unices.
