Well, I saw this on the Gentoo Package Database, and it might be what you need for C. I've never used it, so I take no responsibility for however well it works:

It's apparently an IDE made specifically for C (okay, fine, it's actually a frontend for something called Cscope, which is specifically for C editing).
So take a look.

Can't you do that in glade? I don't know since I never used visual c++, but you can design graphical with glade. Or qtdesigner.

check out qt by trolltech.com i think its a nive ide and many programs have been made using it like skype
