Configuring c++ on Red hat linux8.0 urgent help required

    Hi Folks

Can somebody help me on this
Machine spec : Intel Celeron 2.0 Ghz, 256MB ram,40gb hdd

In 15GB partition i have installed red hat linux 8.0 selecting all the packages.. I have not omitted..
gcc is definitely selected..and in the rpm query it does show that the package is installed.
But when I write a c++ program and compile, it says not able to recognise the iostream and not able to compile the program...

    Please help me out...
But I am able to work on Java programs and compile the same and execute...

Thanks in advance(who ever helps me)!!!!!!!!

While the error message should be sufficient, can you post the source as well. Please remember to format it using the code button in the text editor.

I agree. I was about to post that, but I realized that the program might be huge. If it isn't, though, please do post it.
