    mysql & php connection is driving me crazy

    The mysql & php connection is driving me crazy with no errors being thrown & no html output being shown(the part which comes after the mysql_connect statement).
    Here's my code :
    Code:
    print("The control is coming here");
    $link = mysql_connect($serverhost, $name, $password) or die("Not connected:".mysql_error);
    print("The control is coming here");
    The first print statement is working fine but the 2nd one isn't working which shows there is something wrng with mysql connection.

    Please help me soon

    Are you sure your mysql.connect_timeout is set to anything other than -1 (in /etc/php.ini)?

    Also, does your page quit loading (i.e. "m" animation (in Mozilla) stops)?

    Btw, I think it should be "mysql_error()" instead of just "mysql_error".
