    Hi everyone,

I just got a job that involves Macromedia Flash, but I need a compiler or interpreter or whatever Actionscript uses. Does anyone know where I can get an open-source version?

    Thanks!

There is an Alpha of a "Flash4Linux":

    http://f4l.sourceforge.net/

If it's a fairly simple Flash program, OpenOffice.org Impress can export slideshows to .swf. But that probably won't do.

There is KTOON, which can export movies to .swf:

    You might also check out

I see an Eclipse Plug-in for ActionScript there, so you might find luck there.
