    Your asking abit of a broad question there... are you trying to create a forum application or do you want to use an existing forum application?

    In case you don't know, that was what the forum used before Core Wizard took over - just so you get a sense of what it is like.

    PHPBB is very powerful if used right! And a few features got changed. At work iv just finished making Dog-Breeds.co.uk i was going to start from scratch and make my own forum system, but i thought phpbb would be a free alternative that would save time!


    Theres also a few more like; vBulletin.com, invisionpowered.com and the like! Try a search on google or HotScripts.com

    I have had a look at SMF and Phpbb.

    SMF looks good, but it is not in the portage tree, so it would be quite a hassle to get it up and running in a short amount of time.

    So, i have decided to go with phpBB until I have a better idea of these forums apps.
