    printk problem

    hi, i'm a beginner with linux, i'm using SuSE 9.3 and i'm testing a program in C. the code runs through a series of printk commands similar to this printk(KERN_ERR "check 1 %d %d %d\n", a, b, c)
for some reason, at some point in the cycle it doesn't print the "check 1" portion, but prints the 3 values only and the third value becomes huge. i am just wondering what could be the reason for it skipping the check 1 part. could this be some issue with linux? any help is much appreciated.
