    security - show_source

    Hi everyone

    I have just discovered the show_source command in PHP. And it worries me. Can I turn it off? I am worried as my PHP code contains various usernames and passwords for MySQL.

    What can I do about this?

    Cheers

    Kris

    Only you as the coder can use this so unless you call the function you have nothing to worry about.

    eg.

    <?php
    show_source("http://linuxforums.org/posting.php");
    ?>

    No, certainly not. If they would do that, the file would be requested over HTTP as done by a client browser, and thus it would be preprocessed in the usual way.
