    Autoconf and automake

Where's the best place to learn how to use these, and quickly? I want to use them for a project I'm planning on distributing on freshmeat.

    Thanks!

Depending on how in-depth you need, you may find:

of use. I've not actually distributed with these before and I find Ant easier to understand (though that is Java-only, of course), but it does help you pick up a basic understanding. You might also check the official manuals at the GNU site.
