I'm writing a script that takes a command line variable, and then generates an object file based on that variable.
The main function of the script is to check to make sure the code built correctly (or indeed, at all), and so I check for the existance of the object file using:

if (-f src/$component/$component.o) then
      echo "Built OK"
Problem is, the case can differ between the variable and object names (they're always the same word, just different capitalisation and such).

So, my question is:
Is there any argument I can put in the if statement to ignore the case? (ie so it'll just look for the file, regardless of case). I've tried the usual suspects (-i, etc) with no luck.
