    Question Where is libcheck_pic?

I try to compile GStreamer from source code.

There is a complain during configure about missing libcheck_pic version 0.9.2 / later.

I found the package "check" version 0.9.3 from:

    http://check.sourceforge.net

After I compiled the source code, the result is libcheck, not libcheck_pic.

Perhaps this "pic" is related to "Position Independent Code".
I can't find any source code or instruction about creating libcheck_pic.

Where is the libcheck_pic source code?
    How to compile this library?

    Thank you.

    I found a workaround:

    1. Edit Makefile on the "....../check-...../" directory and add:

    -fPIC -DPIC

at the end of a line that contain "=gcc"

    2. Search sub-directory for other Makefile and do similar thing.

    3. Compile and install.

    4. Rename the result on "/usr/lib" or "/usr/local/lib" from libcheck to libcheck_pic libraries.
