    jffs2 write time

    hello everyone,
i am using JFFS2 in my project for compact flash,so when i tried to write 8MB to a file in compact flash using jffs2 file system with 4KB block size(buffer size) it is taking around 178 seconds,i.e around 3 mins to write !!!!!!!!! (we are using SANDISK 32MB COMPACT FLASH THROUGH USB)
(IN THE PROGRAM WE ARE USING clock_gettime to measure the writing time to flash)
is there something wrong with this or will that really take this time to write in to a compact flash using jffs2 ???
    can anyone answer this please
