Thanks again. Basic stuff I know. Okay, one more if you don't mind people. Testprog is built and running. However, it says that it cannot open the shared object that I built. I am getting the error ./testprog: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I am sure I'm doing something really stupid and basic here but I can't get it. I've built this same library and test program on other systems and have never had a problem. Any ideas?

Thanks again. Your patience is appreciated.

    Thank you, Thank you

    Franklin and the un,

I cannot thank you enough. I have a working shared object and an executable to test it with. Without your help, this process would have taken far longer than it did. Who knows, it might not have gotten done properly at all. Anyway, I thank you for the help and patience.
