    Help Required With Shell Scripting

    Hi all

    I'm looking to write a script in Linux which will provide me with measurement / details of:

    From the start to the end of executing a particular application, measuring the time it was running and how much CPU resources it used

    Any ideas would be great

    hint -- check the output of 'top' command.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
