Can we identify the device attached to serial port
Hi i m learling serial port programming as well as parallel port programming , how can one identify what device is attached to respective port using c program, i have written a program which identifies how many ports are there on my pc like com1, lpt1 such so. but now i have attache serial mouse on com1 and through program i want to know that serial mouse is attached , same as on parallel port i have attached printer then how can i know what is attached any idea is appreacited,

i saw ur other post also..... i'm facing the same problem... so have u found any way to identiy currently which devices r connected to serial ports??
