Thereś this job I have, for a friend & client.
We need to modify or build (NO,No) an asset maintenance database.
This will need to produce reminders on yearly and 6 monthly intervals.
Hold a lot of information and history on the clients as well.
Having just spent some considerable time working with Sugarcrm, I came up with a model that was initially looking good. Nicely themed, Contacts used as the assets and Calls changed considerably to become services.
The problem then arose that if his employees had an account on Sugar, they could change anything in the database.
This has put me in a bind.
I perform all my work on SLED and the client runs Mac OS-X.
I am open to any suggestions at this point and would appreciate someone having a chuckle, then setting me right.
