    C Libraries

    Hi,

I am relatively new to linux programming in C and have some experience in Win32 programming using various languages. I liked the concept of Dynamic Linked Libraries (a compiled library of functions that is dynamically linked to the caller program when one of the functions is invoked) in Win32 and was wodering if there is anything similiar on linux.

Can you please answer my question and if possible forward me to some online tutorials, or suggest some books that explain how to use them in C under linux.

    Thanks for your help
    Josef
