    Obtaining network information from kernel

    Hi everybody !!

Im a recent Linux user, study computer science and i love C programming.
As usually use internet from my laptop thru the wireless network i wanted to create a program for my uni project to evaluate diferent characteristics of the wireless network such as goodput, link availability, real bandwith available, etc. but i dont know which kernel modules can give me this info or how to get the information from the network sockets.

Does anyone has an idea about this??

    Thanks in advance !!

Not sure if this helps you, but you can find some info on the /proc/net directory. I guess googling a little will reveal the format and contents of these files.
