    Cannot connect to secure sites/apps

Since I installed Fedora Core 2, I cannot connect to any secure sites or secure applications. I have diable the firewall but still cannot connect. When I try to go to an https site, my browser is locked up. I also have an application the uses ssl and I cannot connect to it. I know the site and the application are working OK because I can use other distros to connect to it, just not Fedora Core 1, 2 and Red Hat Enterprise. What has changed so dramatically to the networking in the newer Red Hat offering that blocks this.

You probably have to install OpenSSL. Head to your fav. RPM site and pick it up/install it. That should set you straight.
