    Try deleting the empty line like this

    Code:
    # This file is edited by fstab-sync - see 'man fstab-sync' for details
    LABEL=/1 / ext3 defaults 1 1
    none /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0
    none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
    none /proc proc defaults 0 0
    none /sys sysfs defaults 0 0
    LABEL=/u1 /u ext3 defaults 1 2
    LABEL=SWAP-sdc1 swap swap defaults 0 0
    /dev/hda /media/cdrom auto pamconsole,fscontext=system_ubject_r:removable_t ,exec,noauto,managed 0 0
    /dev/fd0 /media/floppy auto pamconsole,fscontext=system_ubject_r:removable_t ,exec,noauto,managed 0 0

    I tried to remove the empty line and save it with wq but it says:
    E505: "/etc/fstab" is read-only (add ! to override)

    I tried wq! but it says:
    ""/etc/fstab" E212: Can't open file for writing

    What should i do?

    You must be root to write this file, sorry for not mentioning that in my previous post.
