    Execute this
    Code:
    su -
    yum clean all
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

when i use sudo yum clean all , only four repositories work fedora, fedora source ,lilvna and livna source ........
for the rest of the repositories like the updates using 'clean all' also doesn help....
so im bound to use these four repositories only

Which other repositories have you installed?
    Execute this
    Code:
    ls /etc/yum.repos.d
    Post output here.

I think using this command is better to know which repos are active / enable. Since there is repos are disable by default.
    Code:
    # grep -i enabled=1 /etc/yum.repos.d/*
Could you tell us... which repo are report that error messages ??

using the above command did not give any output .....

im bound to use only four repositories
    fedora
    fedora-source
    livna
    livna-source

apart from these i wanted to enable fedora-updates and fedora-updates-source but whenever i do so i get errors ....enabling these two repos give the errors ......

    what should i do ?
