    hi
    i m using
    fc.7 destop environment i choose is genome
    but now i want kde
    how can i use my dvd fc.7 to install kde without affecting my current installation.

    If it were me, I'd do a clean install and this time choose KDE as the desktop environment because installing KDE will certainly have an impact on your Gnome installation, in some way. I'm personally not a big fan of mixing them on the same system because of various problems that can result. Note, however, that many users do mix them without running into problems, or at least they don't consider any issues to be overly troublesome.

    You probably could setup your dvd as a yum repository using the instructions on this page. After that you can do
    Code:
    #yum groupinstall "KDE Desktop Environment"
