Unhappy Fedora core 1 + Sbc yahoo DSL = ARGHHH!

Four years ago, (7/13/04) Vukoni asked for instructions to get on Sbc yahoo DSL with Fedora. He never got an understandable (to me at least) answer. I too need clear english instructions starting from the little red hat down in the left corner on how to hook up to the internet through my sbc supplied 2-Wire dsl modem. I have Fedora core 1. Thinking of buying more recent one if that would help. Called SBC tech support, and was told that even thier "special" support section doesn't help with Linux. Im not sure the person I spoke with even understood what Linux was!

No need to buy - download Fedora from their website.

You may want to get Fedora 8 first, as Core 1 is very outdated now.

    plan to buy because:

1: Get a book with it.

2: Can't get on line with the computer I want Linux on. Thanks

Fedora Core 1 no longer receives updates. Fedora has a short release cycle.

The current Fedora is supported and the previous release. The current Fedora is 8, but when Fedora 9 is released only versions 8 and 9 will be supported; support for version 7 will be dropped. Support for all other versions has previously stopped.
