    Want to run a service.


    In redhat linux which service is dedicated for the same purpose as explorer.exe does in windows, and how to run that service?

    Please help.

    If you are talking about a file manager, then you can use Nautilus (if you have GNOME installed) or Konqueror (if you have KDE installed). You can run it by simply clicking on the home or computer icons on your desktop or by looking for an entry for nautilus or konqueror in your menu. These apps are sometimes labeled as just "File Manager".
