RedHat version of linux...
I was on a linux box, which was conected to the internet, once power went off and machine was not shutdown accordingly. Although i can get into the machine perfectly, but then it is not talking to the internet.... even my ISP has given up, what is the best solution to this?? Please advise.

reboot the machine properly, it fixes the problem for me. i have had this happen to me many times. i don't know the details of the why though. maybe someone else can explain the why.
