[SOLVED] please help to connect to internet

i was able to connect to internet 2 hours ago then my pc was shut down due to power cut.then after resuming power when i try to connect to internet an error message displays that there is no entry in /proc/net/dev.i have a lan and i use proxy server.
please help as i am not able to use net please......
