    Samba/SWAT issues when accessing from windows


    Ok I finally got swat to run. After reading a couple articles and HowTo's. I gathered how i guess i am suppose to set up Samba/Swat. I commit all changes and restart that dameons. I can see my linux box from windows but when i try to access it windows tells me that i dont have the premission to access it. What am i missing?????????????????????

    you security is set to user, are you using the same username+pass in Linux and windows? othewise, set that to global so everyone can access it.

    Samba does it's own password authentication, as you would expect any windows server to do. You need to set the Samba passwords for the users as an explicit step.
