Hi all, i installed FC6 ...and i am able to view manual page -----man 8 pppd ... but it is telling no command found pppd ...i tryed everything its not ...

    Hi all,

    i installed FC6 ...and i am able to view manual page -----man 8 pppd ...
    but it is telling no command found pppd ...i tryed everything its not there...
    { but i have ppp in /etc/ppp/ )

    how i have to get pppd command

    and please tell me how to run....

    Have you tried running it as root?

    pppd is likely found in /usr/sbin, which is likely not included in the user's path. So either add /usr/sbin to the path, or call it directly as /usr/sbin/pppd.

    I wouldn't add /usr/sbin to the user's path, since giving a regular user access to system binaries is a security risk. Calling it directly is a better idea, or calling it as root.
