    Unhappy how to install ffmpeg?

    i have a linux server running centos 4.6 and cpanel. i am planning to start a video site and i was told to install ffmpeg in the server. how to install ffmpeg? i found a site which tells me that ffmpeg can be installed with just yum, while many other sites ask to compile source packages.

    what is the best way to do it? should i have to compile the source packages?

    I find it's always best to install using the distro's package manager, in this case yum. It makes life simpler in the long run.
