How do I install VMWare tools on Fedora 9?
I have VMWare Fusion on my Mac and just downloaded Fedora 9 and installed it with the Gnome interface. In the past I've installed OpenSUSE w/ KDE, Ubuntu w/Gnome, and Mandriva w/KDE and rarely have a problem but can't get it to work this time. Is there any special procedure to install VMWare Tools on Fedora 9?

Not sure how it works in VMware fusion . With ESX server you'd use the vi client.
Right click your FC9 vm and select install vmtools.
In your LINUX OS you need mount your cdrom to a directory. ESX connects your cdrom to an iso containing files. You should see some rpms. Copy the rpm to /tmp directory, unmount cdrom.
Install rpm, run vmtools-config.pl scriptI am on a journey to mastering Linux and I got a bloody long way to go!!!
