I'm not sure what I did, but one day the menu editing program just stopped working. I figured out through some googling that the program was called "alacarte", so I tried updating it, then uninstalling and reinstalling. This is what happens when I try to open it from the command line:

Code:
[jake@localhost ~]$ alacarte

    main()

    self.editor = MenuEditor()

    fd = open(getattr(self, menu).path, 'w')
IOError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/home/jake/.config/menus/applications.menu'
Can anyone decipher this for me and tell me how to get it working again?
